With heavy hearts and deep sorrow, we announce the home-going of our beloved mother, grandmother, aunt, sister and cousin, June Josephine Nwana.

This sad event occurred on Tuesday December 12, 2023 in the comfort of her home in Pawtucket, Rhode Island, surrounded by her children, sisters and nieces.

On June 24th, 1947, June Josephine Nwana was born to the union of the late Cecelia Sawroh Toh and Simon Peter Nwana in Lagos, Nigeria. June leaves to celebrate her remarkable life, her three children: Sophia (Tai) Moore (Abe), George Sacko (Vanda), and Juluis Sacko (Mariam), her grandchildren: Abe Moore Jr., Armande Moore, Jazahia Moore, Kamari Moore, Saffiyah Sacko, Ali Sacko, Asiya Sacko, Muhammad Sacko, Idris Sacko and Fatima Sacko, her siblings: Adora Toh Asiamah (Seth) Gladys Toh Roberts, Michael Toh, Irene Toh, Ngozi Thelma Nwana, Chinyere Rosemary Nwana, Chukwumeka Donald Nwana, Nneka Charity Nwana, and Obinna Julian Nwana. Her nieces: Amie Jordan, Ebunola Akinrimisi, Melissa Asiamah, Stacy Hagan, Debra Roberts, Solomon Roberts and a host of other relatives and friends.
